Must read

uilding on the success of their first official international concert in Malaysia, 2ofus has announced its participation in a four-city cultural tour at India in partnership with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

2ofus, with Dream Beyond Borders, became the first Maldivian band to hold an official concert abroad, performing live at the PJ Live Arts Theatre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, back in November.

Following the success of their landmark concert in Malaysia, 2ofus has continued an unstoppable rise, gaining international recognition and media attention, forging cross-border cultural collaborations, representing the Maldives through government-backed cultural platforms, and earning recognition as cultural ambassadors of Maldivian music.

They are kicking off 2024 with one of their strongest achievements yet: a four-city cultural tour in India in partnership with ICCR.

Selected by the Indian Cultural Centre at the High Commission of India in Malé, 2ofus will take part in the 11th India International Dance & Music Festival from January 17th to January 26th, representing the Maldives through music, culture, and artistic diplomacy.

The four major cities included in the tour are: New Delhi, Chandigarh, Shilong and Bangalore.

Official schedule:

  • January 17 – Arrival in New Delhi
  • January 18 – Performance in New Delhi
  • January 20 – Performance in Chandigarh
  • January 23 – Performance in Shillong
  • January 25 – Performance in Bangalore
  • January 26 – Final departure to the Maldives

Each performance will last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the structure of the cultural program.

According to 2ofus, what makes this tour special is not only its scale, but its timing. It represents how every day since the first official international concert in Malaysia, 2ofus has been moving forward with momentum.

Commenting on the milestone, Ahmed Adhuham and Abdullah Shamrookh, the founders of the band, said every day has been a new chapter for 2ofus since Malaysia.

“Each step forward reminded us that 2ofus is bigger than a band – it is a responsibility to represent our country. Starting 2026 with an ICCR tour shows that our journey has only just begun,” they added.

2ofus went viral after their performances in the Battle of the Bands International 2025 in India- a competition in which they finished as second runner-up.
